Teaser Tuesday (18)

Teaser Tuesday, a meme hosted by Should Be Reading is really easy and fun to participate in. All you have to do is:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser

Someone asked us later, "Didn't you wonder why no one came across you sooner?"

Did I wonder?

When you see your parents zipped up in black body bags on the Jellicoe Road like they're some kind of garbage, don't you know?

Wonder dies.

Finally.  I am finally, finally reading this one.  Ever since I first joined Goodreads, I have seen this on my feed.  This, and Marchetta's other novels.  All with the general consensus of this is really fucking amazing and Melina Marchetta is a goddess.

Now, after all these months, I'm reading it.  And they were right.

What are you reading this Tuesday?

P.S. As soon as I finish this one, my 100 Followers Giveaway will go up! This is exciting. This is very exciting.  You should be excited.

Is this your first Melina Marchetta book? I think this is my favourite of hers but you should also check out Finnikin of the Rock and Saving Francesca (which I just finished and loved loved loved!) I will force you to read them if I have to! ;)

I'm like the black sheep in this I didn't love it. I did like it though it was good but I wasn't blown away like everyone else. *runs away*

That's an awesome quote. :) I'm glad you're enoying this one, Lexie. I have mixed feelings about it, but it's definitely a fascinating concept (and I did rate it 4 stars). Can't wait to see your review!
