I really enjoyed the book too. I think that it is important to put out YA books like this. It was a very tense and emotionally heavy book, but I was in the right frame of mind when I read it. I am COMPLETELY with you on the Disappearing Parent Syndrome...it's a little disturbing and certainly not realistic. I like what you said about Allie and her emotions which helped you understand her. I definitely plan on checking this one out now when it comes out.

Traci @ The Reading GeekTraci @ The Reading Geekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08217617671731893865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4539053953461414497.post-4573258146742198242012-04-20T12:15:22.270-04:002012-04-20T12:15:22.270-04:00I really really want to read this book. But now that it's almost published, maybe I'll be able to get it at the library or something.

I'm glad that you liked it, bc I've been looking forward to this one.Meaganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09740882205419149852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4539053953461414497.post-6635432030691602302012-04-20T12:06:58.317-04:002012-04-20T12:06:58.317-04:00And here I am wondering why I didn't bother re...And here I am wondering why I didn't bother requesting this from Netgalley. It sounds amazing! Beautiful review, Lexie - I'm glad you were able to lose yourself in this book and I'm definitely looking forward to reading it myself now. It does sounds rather draining, but I think it might be worth it. ;)Sam (Realm of Fiction)https://www.blogger.com/profile/04440380021875536125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4539053953461414497.post-62383282207853781242012-04-20T10:38:30.781-04:002012-04-20T10:38:30.781-04:00It's nice to see the element of family in this...It's nice to see the element of family in this book. Yeah, most YA books nowadays have kids who are allowed to BE FREE (like Dobby :P)! It's getting old, really. BREAKING BEAUTIFUL sounds really refreshing. It's kind of sad about the flat characters part, though. :/

Thanks for sharing!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
